Frankfort and Grand Haven, MI

Thursday, Oct. 16th we traveled to Frankfort, MI which is about 90 miles. We didn't leave until about 9:45 and arrived at 5:00. Today we had 6' waves and the water was rough. I didn't do very well on this part of the trip. It is so nice to put my feet on land after a day like this one!

The marina was closed so we tied up to the fuel dock. We didn't have power but it was free!

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY ERIK & ALISON

Friday, Oct. 17th we left Frankfort at 7:45 to go to Grand Haven. Daylight is a little later now so we get to leave later!!! Today was my kind of cruising day!!! We had 1-2 ft. waves and just had a nice, easy day on the water. We arrived at 5:45 at the Grand Haven Municipal Marina and guess what? We have power but it is free!!!!! After the prices we paid in marinas on the east coast we are really getting into the free marinas on Lake Michigan. John and Sharon usually sail during the summer or early September but John really likes this idea of free marinas and alot of vacancies also! Watch out Sharon-next year this could be you on a boat in November!!!
